Portfolio Objective
The goal of this portfolio is provide consistent, absolute returns each year regardless of market directions. To accomplish this goal, we capture the essence of market volatilities through active buying & selling, and shorting the Power QQQ Trust Series®.
QQQ Timing Strategies
The market moves in three directions (up, down, and sideways). Traditional buy and hold can help investors make money during bull markets; but this portfolio model aims to harvest gains from bull & bear markets and during market consolidations (trading ranges).
Buying & Selling
Active buying and selling is a discipline that helps preserve gains and reinvest in the same security at any point in time. This practice will have tech optimum results during a market consolidation and moderate bull markets. This active management can also minimize loss if the market is preparing for a down trend. Short Selling
Short selling is an investment strategy where investors can earn a return even when the underlying security's value is going to fall. If the price of the security does decline, the short seller can purchase shares to realized the profit, extinguish the short position at a lower price. QQQ unlike common stock, is exempt from the SEC rule that a prohibits selling short on a downtick, or a last sale price lower than the preceding last sale price. Allowing us to react more effectively to downturns in the market. |
